3. Data Transmission and Storage

3.1 Extension to Server

When the browser extension performs a scan, extracted post data is transmitted via HTTPS to the server URL you have configured. We recommend always using an HTTPS endpoint. Data is sent as a JSON payload and is not transmitted to any other destination.

3.2 Server-Side Storage

Post data received by the Citizen Connect server is stored in a secured database. Access to this data is restricted to authenticated users with appropriate roles. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

3.3 Data Retention

We retain collected post data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). Local extension data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage.
